A Skin Cancer Check is a further examination that will be advised by our dermatologist if you have suspicious change on any moles, lumps, bumps or other marks on your skin. Usually she will do an excisional biopsy which used a scalpel to remove an entire lump or an area of irregular skin, so that they can be tested in a lab. The sample of removed tissue might include a border of healthy skin and your skin’s deeper layers. You may need stitches to close the wound.
